End of the 2005 Biking Season

Opening music: Losing it by Rush.

I have a few odds and ends things to write about. The first (with the demise of daylight savings time) will be the 2005 bicycle (and motorcycle) mileage report. For 2005, according to my odometers, I rode 1,001 miles (1,611 km) on the bicycle, and rode a lowly 223 miles (359 km) on the motorcycle.

Year
Distance Bicycled (miles)
Distance Motorcycled (miles)
2002
1168
2003
855
2004
700
410
2005
1004
223

If I ride any more before the end of the year, I'll update this page.

You have ridden quite a few miles Dave - more than I thought and probably about the same as me. I wish I'd kept such detailed records about my yearly mileage. All I know is that I'm up to 6900k since buying my bike at the start of 1993. I think about 4.5k was done in the first year, about 1k last year, and I guess that puts me at around 1.5k this year. I suppose I rode another 1k on my road bike which I recently sold on Ebay also. Aren't bike computers just the most essential thing? Anyhow, I've got to go board my plane for Melbourne.
